"Duluth Bass Club endurs a hot humid day this past Sunday on L Martin". The weather was partly cloudy, with just a "little"  breeze now and then making it almost bearable as temps rose into the 90's.  The Lakeside ramp was extremely busy Saturday with the 2 large tourneys and the FLW boys practicing for their upcoming event.

The bite was a little tough compared to previous tourneys. Everyone had to really work hard for their fish. 89 bass did hit the scales. for an average of 1.55 lbs.  12 of the 24  teams had limits which wasn't bad considering...All but one team weighed fish and we all were able to get out of there before the rain started.

Michael Thomas - Albert Little emerged tourney winners via back door with 9.70; Albert also had "T" Big Fish, a 3.69 pounder. Michael noted they caught their fish on Chug Bugs and Jigs.

Second place team Randy Little and Robert Turner weighed 9.85, however a dead fish penalty cost them the tourney as they ended up with 9.60 and a tie....broken by their BB. They caught their fish on Chatterbaits.

Third place went to The Booth's,  Bill Sr and Jr, with 9.60 caught mostly on jigheads and drop-shot rig.

Fourth place with 8.92 David Nicholson and Jim Skinner caught their limit on C-Rig GP finesse worms. Jim also caught the 2nd big bass a 3.64 lb'er.

5th place finishers were Matt and Ron Thomas with 8.76. Matt caught the 3rd big fish a 3.19 lb LM using black trick worms.
